Siddaganga Polytechnic,Tumkur (SPT) was established in the year 1988 with the blessings of His Holiness “Padmabhushana” Dr. Sree Sree Shivakumara Swamiji, President Sree Siddaganga Education Society(R), Sree Siddaganga Math.
The primary aim for establishing this Institution is to provide Technical education of quality,to the students, in particular for those who are from rural background.
This Institute is one of the 130 Institutions established by Sree Sree Swamiji to educate the less privileged. Revered Swamiji is rendering yeomen service by giving free shelter, free food and free education to nearly 10 thousand under privileged students. He is 110 years old and still strong enough to serve the Society in various ways and means.
The Institution has a Campus with all the infrastructure necessary to train the students as per the norms of AICTE, New delhi.
The qualified and experienced teachers provide the necessary coaching. Computer facility with Internet connection is provided to students of all the branches.The tutorial system helps good interaction between teachers and the taught. Sports and extra curricular activities are encouraged and discipline is imposed to help all round development of the student.
